There is a wide array of private events for which our Victorian building and grounds can provide a beautiful and functional setting. These include birthday parties, baby showers and festive get-togethers – and with all such events, Shendish Manor can be a powerful draw for golf enthusiasts.

A very fine golf course available to members, residents and visitors

The event that you are planning might not necessarily have golf at the forefront. There could be little scope for injecting a strong golfing flavour into – to cite two examples – birthday or Christmas parties for which you are putting together guest lists consisting of a wide range of people.

However, once an event of yours does get underway at our private functions venue in Hertfordshire, you can benefit from having an awesome 5,660-yard golf course at close hand. This par 70 course meets USPGA standard and is available to a broad range of our visitors.

To be more specific, you don't strictly need to have arranged an overnight stay at our hotel before you can set foot on this wonderful course, as it is also accessible to ‘pay and play’ visitors, as well as members, corporate clients and visiting golf societies.

You don't need to be a thoroughly experienced or skilful golfer, either. One member of our staff here at Shendish Manor is a PGA Professional who can help you become more adept at golf by providing both one-to-one and group lessons. You could soon be unleashing your inner Jack Nicklaus on our course…
