Local Interest

Apsley is a 19th century mill town situated between the village of Kings Langley and the town of Hemel Hempstead in the valley of the Chiltern Hills. The Victoria era saw Apsley becoming the birthplace of paper's industrial revolution and is now home to an exploration site built around the historic paper mill. The vibrant water space along the Grand Union Canal is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Just a mile and half away you will find the picturesque village of Kings Langley which boasts a colourful history from its origins as a Roman settlement and having once been the location of a Royal Palace cited in William Shakespeare's Richard II. A leisurely stroll through the High Street will bring you to a wide variety of shops including specialist boutiques, restaurants and timber framed public houses.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour - A Must see attraction for Harry Potter lovers everywhere and situated only 4 miles away (advance booking required).

Central London is also easily accessible from the Hotel, being just a 30 minute train ride from Apsley to London Euston Station, whilst both the towns of Watford and Hemel Hempstead are less than a 10 minute drive away.
